AR/AP Specialist - Intertek Industrial Services Norway
In the role of AR/AP Specialist, you will be part of a Nordic finance team, responsible for both accounts payable and accounts receivable in Norway. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate, up-to-date ledgers and timely payments and collections across multiple companies.
Your responsibilities will include managing customer and supplier ledgers, handling invoicing and payments, performing reconciliations, and supporting reporting and month-end closing processes. You will act as a key contact for both internal stakeholders and external customers and suppliers, ensuring smooth financial operations and high data quality.
Examples of tasks included in the role:
Managing accounts payable and account receivable for multiple Nordic entities.
Ongoing invoicing and registration of incoming supplier invoices.
Posting incoming customer payments and executing payments to internal and external suppliers.
Credit checks and approval of new customers, as well as registration of new suppliers and maintenance of master data.
Reconciliation of customer and supplier ledgers, bank accounts, and monthly account balances.
Sending payment reminders and handling supplier reminders in line with established cash collection and payment processes.
Monitoring shared inboxes, managing inquiries, and resolving discrepancies in collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders.
Planning invoicing and payment cycles to meet deadlines ahead of month-end closing.
Preparing and distributing monthly reports and summaries to relevant internal stakeholders.
Participating in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Capitalization of fixed assets.
Supporting the finance team with other tasks during, for example, illness or vacation.
Who are you?
You have a relevant education in finance, accounting, or a similar field.
Experience working in finance with a focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Strong knowledge of financial systems and the ability to manage large volumes of data.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in Norwegian and English.
Good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel.
Experience with Visma Business and Medius is considered an advantage.
You are comfortable working independently and pay attention to detail, which is essential to ensuring high quality in financial processes. You enjoy analytical work and problem-solving and are motivated to develop within your role. You value structured ways of working, follow established routines and processes, and consistently meet deadlines by prioritizing your tasks effectively.
