Cyber Security Specialist - IoT Compliance focus

As a Cyber Security Specialist at Intertek, you'll play a key part in performing advanced cybersecurity assessments on IoT products, systems, and processes—helping clients meet international standards and navigate regulatory landscapes.

You will perform hands-on testing and evaluations, while supporting Sales with technical input and participating in client meetings. You’ll deliver training sessions, contribute to detailed reports and technical documentation, and stay engaged with evolving industry standards and trends. Taking initiative in your own development, you’ll also play a key role in building the technical strength of our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments aligned with standards such as EN 18031-series, ETSI EN 303 645, IEC 62443, IEC 81001-5-1, IEEE 11073-10101 series, ISO 80601-2-13:2022, and others.
- Perform testing according to specific protocols and clauses, including Annex U of IEC EN 60335-1 and clause 8.5 of IEC 60947-4-1:2023.
- Utilize cybersecurity tools and techniques (e.g., Kali Linux, Wireshark, nmap, Fuzzing Tools, Nessus, Burp Suite) during assessments.
- Analyze communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, TCP/UDP, TLS, HTTP, SSH, and wireless standards (WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-Wave).
- Establishing test report formats, evaluation processes and routines and supporting accreditation activities.
- Participating in Interteks global network of Cyber Security labs, sharing learning and establishing efficient best practices and new services.
- Collaborating and meeting with customers and external parties, conferences, promoting and representing Intertek as a subject matter expert.
- Leading and guiding colleagues in day to day management of their testing and evaluation work.
Qualifications:
- Solid experience in cybersecurity assessments, specifically for IoT environments.
- Familiarity with local and global cybersecurity standards and testing methodologies.
- Experience with mobile application testing using frameworks such as OWASP MASVS/MSTG.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, interface communications (USB, UART, I2C/SPI, RFID/NFC), and common file formats.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, OSCP, CEH, or SANS are desirable.
- An enthusiastic personality with a “can-do” attitude.
- An interest in leadership roles/activities.
